How does the Staffomatic App for Android and iOS work?

Basically the new native app for Staffomatic is copying the browser app featuring only some distinctions and specialties covered in this article

By January 2nd 2023 all newly downloaded Staffomatic apps (not the blue time tracking terminal app but the schedule app) and also updates of the former Android and iOS Staffomatic schedule app change appearance.

1. Only subscribed functionalities

Now, a bunch of functionality that was restricted to working in the browser gets included into the app. For employees only those features show up which are included of the company's subscription.

2. Distinct schedule views

As available in the old schedule app, you will find a chronological view of shifts that can be filtered down to only those where you applied or where you are assigned. This function is restricted to staff users. Admins and managers can now do all the planning from their smartphones including calendar, list and employee view.

You can easily filter the available locations via the dropdown on the top. In order to view all locations you may select the "all locations" tab.

3. Download and setup

Before January 2nd the app is available as a beta via web browser dashboard advertisement. Afterwards all links will direct to the new version.

  1. Type your email to retrieve the account of your employer,
  2. Select the correct account,
  3. Login with your credentials.

4. Shift appearance

  • A yellow shift signals it is not fully covered / booked
  • A blue shift signals that the number of required staff has been reached
  • A dummy staff icon signals you are not allowed to see who is covering or applying for a shift
