After an employee has requested an absence (see "How do I create an absence?") the admin will receive an email with the note about the absence request and a note on the dashboard. 

In order to approve or decline an absence request  you (admin) go to the section "Absences" and click on the grey-white-striped absence in the calendar overview. The stripes indicate that the absence needs to be answered. 

A new window will open, where you can see the details of the absence request. Now click on approve or decline.
